What is split recruitment?+
Two agencies work together on one role. The role-owning agency manages the client and brief; the candidate partner sources and screens candidates. They agree the fee split, responsibilities and payment conditions before introductions. The candidate partner earns the agreed share of the client fee, not of the candidate’s salary.
When can a candidate be introduced?+
Only after both agency owners accept the same agreement version and the candidate has current, job-specific permission for both agencies. The role owner needs the candidate’s separate permission before sharing their profile with the employer. Matching or ambiguous duplicate records are paused for review.
What appears in the audit trail?+
TAP records the agreement version and owner acceptances, who submitted a candidate and when, the agency credited with attribution, the agency holding the profile record when available, and later progress such as interviews, offers and placements. A candidate TAP number appears only when one registered candidate profile verifies against the submitted email and the match is unique; TAP does not invent numbers for recruiter-created records. Attribution is for the role and agreed time window, not ownership of the person.
Is the agreement a legally binding e-signature?+
TAP creates an agreement draft from the agreed terms and records both agency owners’ acceptance of the same version, including the representative, timestamp and agreement hash. It does not provide a qualified e-signature or independently verify who clicked, and it cannot guarantee legal enforceability. Have an Australian solicitor review the wording before relying on it.
Does TAP move the placement fee or partner payment?+
No. TAP takes no commission or per-role collaboration fee. Agencies retain their agreed shares of the client placement fee. Subscription charges are separate. Payments & terms records transactions made outside TAP; it does not collect or transfer money.
Do candidates need a TAP account?+
An agency can manage and introduce a candidate who has not joined TAP, provided it has current permission for the specific role and participating agencies. Creating a record does not create a candidate account or grant consent.
Can I try the process before joining?+
Yes. The interactive demo includes fictional shared roles at different stages. Explore the next steps and agreement screens without sending messages, sharing real candidates or taking payments.
